Service Description: <div style='text-align:Left;'><div><div><p><span>Airport Overlays is a compilation of all the surface zones established for all the public airports in Jackson County. This file is used to calculate penetration of airport protection zones. The Airport Approach Overlay is intended to reduce risks to aircraft operations and land uses within close proximity to airports and heliports. The Airport Approach Overlay is not legally described by metes and bounds, but is defined by the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR, Part 77) and OAR660-013 and OAR 738-070 pbl 2/16/03. The overlay is the best available graphic representation of the rules therein. Certain land-uses within such areas are subject to additional land-use rules.
