Service Description:
This data is a polygon representation of the reclassified slope raster derived from the bareearth mosaic of DOGAMI"s mosaic raster and the 2023 OLC Jackson County BE (as reference below), reprojected and transformed to OCRS NAD 83 2011(2010). To reduce the many small areas, the minimum polygon size was set at 2,000 square feet, collapsing any area smaller.

The Slope Raster reclass parameters:

20- above percent slope

Product: This GIS dataset contains Bare Earth (BE) raster models depicting lidar-derived elevation data for the 2023 OLC Jackson County Lidar project area. Raster models were delivered by AOI mosaic in addition to the 3000ft tiles. Dataset Description: The 2023 OLC Jackson County Lidar project area encompasses 506,952 acres; and is located in Jackson County, Oregon. This project called for the planning, acquisition, processing, and production of derivative products of lidar data and was to be collected at a nominal pulse spacing (NPS) of 8 ppsm - 0.35 meters. Project specifications are based on the U.S. Geological Survey National Geospatial Program Lidar Base Specification, Version 2022 rev. A. The native projection is Oregon Lambert Conic Conformal, units are in International feet. The native horizontal datum is NAD83(2011); the native vertical datum is NAVD88; Geoid 18. Bare earth DEMs were derived from the classified lidar data and delivered within a 3000 ft x 3000 ft tiling schema. Ground Conditions: Lidar was collected between November 14th, 2002 - November 22nd, 2002 and June 28th, 2023 - June 30th, 2023 while no snow was on the ground and the area was free of cloud cover.

Using Countwide LiDAR Mosaic, Slope was extracted from the bare earth digital elevation model. Slope was then reclassified to certain slopes. The Slopes above 20 percent grade data was extracted from the Slope Reclassified raster. Then City Limits and Public properties removed. Finally, the data went through a Simplify Polygon with a minimum area of 2000 square feet.
